A
word by the artistic
director
Chameleons last season was a great success, with varied programs and great artists. Grand finale especially was well grand With Paul Green on Clarinet and Kemal Gekic on piano, how could one go wrong.
Many of you will be very happy to hear that Kemal will be returning next fall in a piano-cello recital. Featured on that program will be the other Faure sonata in preparation for a recording of both #1 and #2 (which was played in Grand Finale)
Also my wonderful collegues in the Amernet quartet will return to the Leiser center and Chameleon next January!
This year will not have our yearly women composers concert I am playing the (Robert) Schumann concerto in the month of March with the Classical Orchestra for information on tickets for that concert (on March 28, 2006 at FAU) please call FAU at 561-297-3737 for tickets or Sunset Entertainment for more information at 561-278-7677.
In the beginning of September I will be recording the 4th women composers concert (March 6 2005) in a little church in Delft, the Netherlands. I will let you know when that recording will be released.
You might also be happy to hear that I finally finished the paperwork for Chameleons Tax Exempt status. This means that you can actually deduct your contribution from your taxes if you would wish to help Chameleon move up and up
Sincerely,
Iris van Eck, Cellist and artistic director
